Contiki Tours is offering students a chance to win a free holiday in a three-month campaign through Youth Media, the independent youth media network based in Glasgow.
The campaign, which will run on Youth Media’s "YouthWire" desktop platform in university and college PCs in libraries and other study areas, will offer students opportunities to win free holidays abroad and also promote holiday discounts. Holidays covered include the European Horizon and Adventurer tours and an 18-day campaign tour.
Contiki, which planned and booked the campaign itself, is using the YouthWire network in 34 universities to reach 650,000 students during the summer term and drive traffic to its website.
Justin Smith, director of Youth Media, commented: “While they’ll be concentrating on their exams in the next few weeks, many students will also find themselves dreaming of their summer breaks, and so reaching them on campus where they are more likely to have considerable dwell time makes good sense for Contiki.”
Youth Media now claims to be the largest media owner within education in the UK, reaching 2.5 million 14-25 year-olds through partnerships with more than 200 academic institutions. Youth Media posters are located in libraries and other areas of study such as computer clusters, departments and photocopy areas.
The YouthWire Desktop Platform on college and university PCs runs a range of desktop apps for marketing campaigns.
