Timorous Beasties, a Scottish based wallpaper firm, has launched the UK’s first range of custom designed headstones.

Beasties have a range of designs on offer for the fashion conscious graveyard resident, predominantly sporting Mandelbrot like floral and foliage patterns, each of these can be engraved on marble, granite or slate.

The made to order epitaph takes around six weeks to deliver and will set the purchaser back £2,500.

Beasties Co-founder Alistair McAuley commented: “There is definitely room for design in our cemeteries so this seemed an obvious thing for us to do. The choice of designs for headstones on offer is frankly diabolical. I have seen beaches, footballs, Thomas the Tank Engine, pillows, windows and even mobile phones.”
