Durex maker agrees £2.5bn acquisition with Cillit Bang companySSL International, makers of Durex condoms, has agreed an acquisition deal with dishwasher tablet maker Finish and Cillit Bang owner Reckitt Benckiser, worth £2.54bn.
The company, which also makes Scholl footcare, Gaviscon and Nurofen, aims to boost its business in China and Japan, while also evolving its health division.
The company, which has a headquarters in London, also has manufacturing bases in Manchester, County Durham and Redruth in Cornwall.
McCann Erickson Manchester currently handles several advertising accounts for SLL International, including Durex and Scholl.
