Outrage at Russian donkey parasail beach promotion stuntOutrage at Russian donkey parasail beach promotion stunt

Russian businesses men have sparked outrage after tying a donkey to a parasail and allowing it to glide above a beach in southern Russia for half-an-hour.

Witnesses to the stunt have claimed that the donkey was clearly baying in fear and that when it landed, it was dragged several meters along the water before being pulled out.

The stunt was carried out as a promotion by the businessmen in the village of Golubitskaya, who were hoping to attract people to their private beach.

They are now expected to face charges for animal cruelty.

...beats a donkey ride on Blackpool beach any day.

In all seriousness though - a guerrilla stunt gone very wrong in so many ways - I fear the "businessmen" behind this may only see the ice beaches of Siberia for a while - a lot of negative PR for Russia.

They'd have got even more coverage if they'd used a famous racehorse.

Missed opportunity.

My spies in Russia have told me that this is simply a cover-up story, the Russians have created a decoy to cover up their new experiments into military methods training there new suicide donkey parachute regiment. Panic over.
