Modern art is often decried as rubbish by its detractors but now one enterprising artist has taken the jibes literally for his latest trashy works.

Bin raiding creative Bernard Pras has kicked up a stink in the art world after rummaging through his junk to find all the inspiration and material he needs to recreate iconic images.

These include a representation of Andy Warhol’s Marilyn Monroe painstakingly reconstructed using a combination of doll parts, an Evian box and a watering can.

On a roll Pras has even recreated a portrait of King Loo-is XIV…  in toilet paper.

As well as providing creative stimulus this recycling model is proving to be a real money spinner for Pras who flogs his ordered jumbles for up to £8k a pop. Just make sure you inform the cleaners before putting the work on display.
