Peter Salmon, director of BBC North will apparently not be looking to relocate his family to the north-west in the near future.
According to Media Guardian, Salmon will not move his family ‘for the moment’ as he does not want to disrupt his children’s education.
Salmon, who was born in Burnley, currently rents a flat close to MediaCity UK, the base of BBC North, and has said that he will move to Salford ‘when the time is right.’
The BBC has already announced that it plans to transfer CBBC, BBC Sport, BBC Learning and Radio Five Live to the north west of England next year, causing unrest amongst its London based employees.

Salmon swim upstream to spawn. His missus may not be feeling broody.
I thought he'd have jumped at the chance.
We all look forward to hearing of the new 5live line-up, oh and the new presenters and producers of CBBC, not forgetting the entire face of BBC Sport. It's either that, or lots of business miles racked up on the old expenses account. Move north? Don't you know who I am? Milton Keynes is as far as I go mate.
