North East-based sales promotion agency Think Innovative has been appointed sole distributor of the new iKnow player - which is taking the tourism world by storm.

More than 100,000 copies of its audio technology have been sold and it has already struck deals with high profile names including the London Eye, The Vatican and Greyline Buses in New York. In fact, the agency has opened an office in New York following the uptake of the product.

The new device has been described as a low cost audio MP3 player, which can be individually branded and recorded for an organisation. It comes with headphones and an area guide and can be applied in all areas of business.

Think Innovative director, Linda Hitman, said: “It’s an extremely exciting time for us. We’re in lots of talks with people who want the iKnow player and if all goes to plan I’ve no doubt that we’ll be looking to increase our workforce because we won’t be able to handle the interest.”

The iKnow PLayer retails for £5 at the London Eye and $14 for the New York guide, Although some clients use it purely as a promotional merchandising tool. The iKnow Player is also used in the Health sector for information, with the Irish Cancer Society running a stop smoking campaign and Roche Pharmaceuticals are in process of a Diabetes campaign in South Africa.
