Bristol-based design consultancy Matthew Fairweather has created a new brand identity for LED lighting manufacturers Exled.

Exled’s identity has been created to reflect its new market position and product offering, which has moved from domestic markets to a more commercial approach.

This coincides with the launch of products aimed specifically at industrial themed applications, from office interiors to leisure facilities.

Customer research and development led with a name change from Excled to Exled.

Peter Norris, the lead designer on the project, said: "The new Exled brandmark is a more recognisable symbol, one that reflects the dynamic and forward thinking attitudes of not only Exled but also of their market. More importantly it doesn’t alienate all the features of their previous mark by retaining suggestive shapes such as the X formation."

Meanwhile, engineering firm IMI Webber, a division of Norgen plc, has appointed Matthew Fairweather to work on designing its new office and conference space interiors.

The agency will begin to work with IMI Webber throughout August and September in order to bring a new look to the factory and office space.

The work follows IMI Webber’s move into a selection of new sectors, besides its automotive and commercial vehicle client base.
