AEGON Asset Management has appointed Andrew Bell as head of European product & marketing.

Bell will be made responsible for the brand’s European product development and marketing proposition and will report to European head of distribution, Martin Harris.

Bell joins AEGON Asset Management from Aberdeen Asset Management where he was client director for its newly acquired hedge fund business.

Previous to that, he was director of marketing at RBS Asset Management with responsibility for sales, product development and communications and has also worked as head of product development at Coutts Group.

Martin Harris, commented: ‘Andrew’s skills and experience make him a valuable addition to AEGON Asset Management’s distribution team, as we look to expand the range and depth of our product and marketing propositions.
