Sense Scotland has appointed Innovation Digital with designing and developing a new website for the charity.

The charity, which has been working with disabled children and adults since the mid 1980’s to live independently within their homes through day support services and short breaks, is looking to transform its existing online presence.

Innovation Digital has been tasked with the key aim of creating an inclusive, flexible and engaging platform that will connect with audiences and encourage them to visit the site on a regular basis.

Website accessibility is at the core of the project, with the agency seeking to ensure that all visitors are able to engage and interact with the site, and also allow staff to easily update it and manage content through an adaptable CMS.

Graeme Thomson at Sense Scotland said, “We’re very excited about working with Innovation Digital on developing a new website for Sense Scotland. It’s a crucial resource for the organisation and we look forward to being able to connect with visitors to the site in an inclusive and dynamic way.”

A planning and definition phase is already underway, following which, Innovation digital will build on the work is has already carried out for other Scottish charities, aiming to reach the target audience through simple navigation, information architecture and clear calls to action.

The site will also accommodate the needs of the people that Sense Scotland works with, who have communication support needs due to deafblindness, sensory impairment and learning or physical disabilities.

Graeme Fletcher, digital marketing manager for Innovation explained that the agency understood how critical the platform was for Sense Scotland to communicate with the charity’s key audiences as well as to raise awareness, generate revenue through donations and get people involved.
