Tourism body VisitScotland has appointed The Leith Agency to produce its TV advertising campaign for the UK and Ireland next year.
The campaign will aim to boost the number of visitors to Scotland and their value to the country’s economy, with the idea set to inspire visitors with a huge variety of experiences on offer in Scotland being presented alongside the personality of its people, summed up in the campaign proposition, ‘Only in Scotland’.
It is understood that The Leith Agency beat The Union to the contract during the final stage pitch.
Alistair Gronbach – UK marketing director for VisitScotland, said: “The Leith Agency produced a great response to our brief demonstrating real insight and enthusiasm. We're looking forward to working with them and building on our successful marketing campaigns, which have already generated hundreds of millions of pounds for the Scottish economy.”
Gerry Farrell, creative director for The Leith Agency, said: "We are chuffed beyond belief to be invited to help VisitScotland promote one of the most amazing countries on the planet - our own."
