Danish broadcaster SBS TV has appointed Staffordshire production company Inspired Film and Video to help with its coverage of the English Premier League.

SBS has the rights to show Premier League matches in Denmark for the next three years. It will work with Inspired to create magazine-style packages to use in addition to the match footage provided by the Premier League.

Keele-based Inspired has already worked on its first job with SBS, filming a feature piece on Stoke City and the club's Danish goalkeeper Thomas Sorensen (pictured).

Throughout the season Inspired expects to provide SBS with footage featuring each of the Premier League's 20 clubs.

Inspired's commercial director Chris Gibbs, a former BBC sports commentator, said: "This is a real coup for us. All of us here are massive football fans and we are really excited about working with SBS.

"We already work with West Bromwich Albion, Stoke City and Port Vale directly and hope SBS are the first of many international broadcasters to utilise our skills."
