Graphic and digital design agency Corporation Pop are hoping to strike gold with their latest iPhone app, a 3D pinball game which allows players to remix Goldfrapp music as they play.

Featuring samples from Goldfrapp’s latest album, Head First, the free app utilises Apple’s touch screen for users to power a ball around an imaginary urban environment.

As this pinball ricochets off different objects within the game sound samples are triggered, ensuring a unique remix for every game played.

Dom Raban, managing director at Manchester-based Corporation Pop explains: “The ball is moved around by both tapping the screen and tilting the phone. In testing it’s been really rewarding watching people play as they shake the phone to get rid of the clouds or try tilting it to influence the direction of the ball. The real bonus comes when they trigger a vocal sample which mixes beautifully over the backing track.”
