Sheffield artist Pete McKee has launched a new website to promote his artwork and exhibitions.

The site, built with Sheffield agency Dot to Dot design, features news about exhibitions, a gallery of artwork and a shop for fans to buy their favourite pieces.

Fans can even create their own McKee-style avatars to use alongside their comments on the site's blogposts.

Chris Smith, who works alongside McKee, said: "Pete’s successful year to date has resulted in thousands of new visits to his website. Although the old site has been great for exhibiting his work and reflecting his style, it was felt that we were ready to move onto phase two.

"This new site enables fans to get closer to Pete, taking part in online discussions and even watching videos of Pete in action and out and about via the links to YouTube.”

The revamped website has been launched ahead of 'Cover Version', a new exhibition at McKee's Sheffield gallery, 'a Month of Sundays'.

Running from 11 September to 14 October, Cover Version sees McKee invite some of his favourite artists, designers, musicians, writers and illustrators to create their individual interpretation of a 12” album that they have a special affinity with.

Exhibitors will include the Designers Republic's Ian Anderson, 6 Music DJ Mark Riley, musician Richard Hawley and cartoonist Tony Husband.
