Circuit Break founder Gordon Brown will reveal 59 Minutes, his second crime thriller later this month following the successful debut of his first novel, Falling.
Entitled 59 Minutes, the new book is being published by Fledgling Press and tells the story of a Glasgow-based petty criminal who progresses through the ranks to become a major player in the international underworld.
The book comes around a year after Brown had his debut novel, Falling, published also by Fledgling Press, which proved a good seller with a re-print being required.
Brown is to hold an official book launch at Waterstone's in Glasgow later in September and he is already in talks with a literary agent about a third and fourth book.
59 Minutes is now available to buy at Waterstone's across Scotland, WHSmith stores in and around Glasgow and on Amazon. For a sneak preview visit Brown's website.
Brown said: "It takes me 20 years to get a book published and then two come along together. It's great news. The success of the first book 'Falling' has led to the publisher picking up my new one and hopefully there are more to come. Set in Glasgow '59 minutes' is a crime thriller told from the criminal's point of view. As such the research into the new book was tricky and I can exclusively reveal it was not based on personal experience. So if anyone wants a "pacy, intriguing crime thriller with a stunning conclusion", not my words but those of my fellow author Helen Fitzgerald, then '59 minutes' will be available on line or in good bookshops this month."
