NEoN launches design competition

A design competition has been launched by this year’s North East of North (NEoN) digital arts festival focusing on the theme of ‘character’.

Entries are being accepted from anyone, with three different categories tailored to suit different individuals including ‘Industry Guru’, ‘The Layperson’ and ‘For the Kids’, open to under 16’s, with all entries being uploaded to the NEoN online gallery.

The winning design will pick up £100, a pair of NEoN conference tickets and their design produced on a t-shirt by online competition site Teetonic.

The winning designer will also have their design printed on future NEoN marketing material, of which the winning individual will be able to 2 percent for their portfolio.

“We are looking for highly creative and original designs focusing around the concept of ‘character’. The competition will give any aspiring artists the opportunity to circulate their work both in print and online, reaching a wide ranging audience. Winning the competition will be a fantastic boost to any professional or amateur artists’ portfolio and we are all really excited to receive the entries,” said Lyall Bruce from the organizing committee.

The deadline for design competition entries is 5pm on 8 October, and the winner will be announced by 15 October 15.
