Honey Monster returns in first RKCR/Y&R ad for Honey Waffles

The first campaign for Honey Waffles since the appointment of RKCR/Y&R is set to role out, having formerly worked with Bray Leino, witnessing the return of the Honey Monster.

The campaign, which aims to take the character back to his roots, will be extended online across children’s websites, as well as setting up a partnership with virtual world Bin Weevils.

Honey Monster also uses his original catchphrase ‘Don’t tell them about the Honey, Mummy!” at the end.

The ad was directed by Garth Jennings of Hammer & Tongs, best known for brit-flicks Hitch Hikers Guide to the Galaxy and Son of Rambow.

Jane James, marketing director at Honey Monster Foods, said: “Were thrilled with the ad and look forward to seeing its impact on the future growth of the Honey Waffles brand.  We think it perfectly recaptures the nave and lovable personality that has given the Honey Monster such an enduring appeal for adults and children over the years.”

Outtakes from the filming of the ad will also be made available to view on the Honey Monster YouTube channel.

Cheers Honey Monster, I give you free lodgings in my wardrobe and then you've wrecked Mam's house and caused thousands of pounds worth of damage.
