Coleen Nolan becomes the face of Park for Christmas 2011

Coleen Nolan stars in the new Christmas Savings TV advert for Park ahead of its Christmas 2011 campaign.

The campaign will also be supported by magazine and online adverts also fronted by Nolan.

An event has been organised by Park at Debenhams in Liverpool One for Thursday where Nolan will autograph Park 2011 catalogues in person.

Nolan commented; “I think Park’s service is fabulous because unfortunately at the moment we are a nation of debt and Christmas is a time when people are pressured into getting themselves into more debt. So saving with Park throughout the year is a fantastic way for families to be able to enjoy Christmas and be debt free.”

Think I'll park this one in the 'shit ads' bay.

Who uses these companies?

Put the money in a bank account.

Some people don't have or can't get a bank account, through no fault of their own.
Some people are scraping by, pinching a couple of quid from hubbies/partners wage before it's p!ssed up a wall.
Some people can only manage to put away 1-2 quid a week, if they're lucky.
Some people actually make some extra money by being a 'collector' for these kind of companies.

The hampers are expensive by anyone's standards, but it's the only way some people can afford a Christmas, by 'saving' over the year.

Obviously we aren't these people and can quite happily put money away in a bank account, or even in a Quality Street Jar without fear of those pennies being invested at the local bookies. Heaven forfend, we hardly have to save up at all!

So don't comment on the people, comment on the creative. That's what's up there.

BTW, I've not even looked at the ad, had nothing to do with it either, just thought the 'Who uses' line was a bit ignorant.
