Glasgow studio Effektive was approached to create a new exhibition guide for a series of exhibitions at The Lighthouse run by Architecture + Design Scotland.

Given the recent history of The Lighthouse it was important to convey that the The Lighthouse was not only open but, there was now a series of new, free entry exhibitions being run there until January by Architecture + Design Scotland.

Looking to create something different from the usual event guide books/leaflets, Effektive designed a rivet bound, perforated postcard book printed on tactile Printablade by Robert Horne in spot fluro orange to help with impact on the direct distribution stands.

The booklet titled LOA+DS acts as a guide, with each of the exhibitions included as individual tear-out postcards with the relevant information printed on the reverse. The booklet also includes further information on Architecture + Design Scotland and its various upcoming education events and workshops.

LOA+DS at The Lighthouse is open now and runs until Jaunary 2011. Featured exhibitions include Commonground : Commonwealth Glasgow's Sporting History and Future 2014, Our Urban Playground, Where We Play, My Perfect Place, Natural Factory and the A+DS and RIAS Scottish Student Awards for Architecture.
