North West support body Vision+Media’s chief executive Alice Morrison has said that it will look to work across the UK in selling its services to fill the void left in its budget following recent cut backs.
Speaking to TheBusinessDesk, Alice Morrison, chief executive of Vision+Media described the situation as ‘a nightmare’ as both the North West Development Agency and the UK Film Council look set to be disbanded in 2012, which are the organisation’s two largest supporters.
"We don't have to be constrained by our borders anymore and with the NWDA going there is no region. We have to transform ourselves, she explained when discussing new opportunities opening up for Vision+Media but admitted that some of its services would need to be cut to focus on high growth companies across the UK, although would not say whether redundancies would be made as a result of the budget cut.
