An Arabic language website, run by British national Walid ElSharkawy, has been named as a “mouthpiece of the most extreme and bloodthirsty strand of jihadism” by the think tank Quilliam.

Medad al-Suyuf has 4,000 members who regularly conduct conversations in praise of suicide bombing as well as inciting violence against Iraqi Shias, Jews, Westerners and NATO soldiers.

Members include many British residents including Yasser al-Sirri, member of Islamic Jihad, and the physicist Muhammad al-Massari, both of whom reside in London.

Despite glorifying terrorism and stirring racial hatred the forum has yet to be shutdown, apparently because the site is not in English and has not previously been traced to Britain.

Quilliam's research is contained within 'Cheering for Osama', a report aimed at countering the threat posed by extremist bulletin boards.
