Media regulator Ofcom has announced it has appointed four new non-executive directors to the channel 4 board.

Alicja Lesniak, Monica Burch, Mark Price and Richard Rivers will take up their posts on October 1 for an initial 3 year term.

In addition three existing non executive board members, Stephen Hill, Martha lane-Fox and Lord Puttnam, are to see their terms of office extended by a period of one year.

Ofcom Chairman, Colette Bowe, said: “The combination of the new appointments and the extensions is intended to bring some new high quality commercial and professional skills onto the Channel 4 board whilst also providing stability by retaining some very strong individuals for the forthcoming year.”
