Fremantle's Radical purchase boosts branded TVFremantle's Radical purchase boosts branded TV

Fremantle Media has purchased a 60% stake in Radical Media, a producer of so called branded TV where programmes are sponsored by companies in return for incorporating their brand and products into the content.

Radical produce a number of shows including "Iconoclasts" series on the Sundance Channel and "The Gamekillers", an MTV series sponsored by Axe whereas Fremantle focusses upon musical talent shows such as "Pop Idol", "Britain's Got Talent" and "The X Factor."

The purchase follows a period of close collaboration on branded entertainment projects.
