Leeds-based sports marketing agency Banana Kick has organised a Ryder Cup-style golf challenge between British and US armed forces for Help the Heroes.

The agency set up the Heroes Golfing Challenge on behalf of Welcome to Yorkshire with teams from the British Infantry and US forces senior personnel slugging it out.

They played at the Moortown Golf Club in Yorkshire just days before the real Ryder Cup teed off in Wales - and in similarly drab weather conditions the Europeans again rompted to victory.

Gary McCall, director of Banana Kick said: "Weather conditions in Yorkshire were exactly the same at Celtic Manor but the wet, grey and bleak day saw the European team romp to victory in a convincing match.”
