Spaces in the league are filling up fast for the Creative Cup in Edinburgh later this year... to guarantee a team at this year's 5-a-side competition, register your interest now.
Agencies are used to doing battle on the pitch - but now The Drum is looking for teams to prove they have what it takes on the grassy kind.
The long-running 5-a-side football tournament took a break on the sidelines last year, but it has been spurred into action by the success of the Manchester Digital Creative Cup sponsored by The Drum.
Almost £2,000 was raised for the Christie's charity by the Manchester cup, which was organised by Manchester creative Ian James Cox.
Money raised by the Edinburgh event will likewise go to charity with the winners donating the proceeds to the worthy cause of their choice.
The Creative Cup will take place on the afternoon of Thursday 2 December at the Corn Exchange in Edinburgh. A number of teams have already signed up, including the holders of the 2008 Cup GRP, and due to demand we are going to expand the number of teams able to enter...
More information will be released shortly.
If your agency would like to play, register your interest by emailing gordon.laing@carnyx.com.
You will be sent a verification email. Click on the link in the email to post your comment.

Watch out for all the ringers coming out the woodwork!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Cue all the fat useless fuckers, who still think they're good at football, even though they were probably shit in the first place trying to dance past boys half their age. And yes, I'm one of them.

We'll be there!

I'm surprised that GRP are the holders, but I'm sure like another great west of Scotland team, they will "welcome the chase!"
Union for the cup!

Mon the independents!
Is there a book going on this Creative Cup thingy?
If so, stick £10 on Equator for me, I hear they have got quite a team, especially their "Wholey Moley Goalie".
The rest of you better watch out!!!

@James with Gerry the cat between the sticks you might be in with a shout!
@anon 17.18 Some of us yes? Your question caller? Time to move with the times, not just big agencies doing some of the good work in the industry now. A team of independents made up of designers, photographers and illustrators is surely creative enough for you?
Grieg - anon 17.18 is clearly an idiot who thinks he's funny. Rise above it. All I can say is he's never going to find work as a copy writer, as he probably thinks that a good headline has to revolve around a play on words or some kind of pun.
