The launch of the £46.4m transformation of the National Museum of Scotland will be promoted by a campaign created by Frame following a six-way-pitch.
Frame will oversee a multi-staged campaign beginning next Spring ahead of the scheduled reopening in Summer.
Once completed, the museum will incorporate both the the Victorian Royal Museum and the modern National Museum buildings on Chambers Street in Edinburgh which is currently undergoing a redevelopment to create Scotland’s largest museum site, with 20,000 objects displayed across 36 galleries.
James Coutts, marketing manager of National Museums Scotland, said: “We look forward to working with Frame to promote the launch of the National Museum of Scotland. The marketing campaign will invite locals and tourists to come back and see the fantastic changes we’ve made. The new Museum will be key for the city and Scotland as a whole.”
Gary O’Donnell, managing director at Frame said of the appointment: “The National Museum of Scotland is a Scottish icon, and the redevelopment is a really ambitious project to create a world class cultural destination. It’s all very inspiring stuff, and we became infected by the National Museums Scotland team’s enthusiasm and passion for the project. We’re looking forward to being part of their creative team.”

About time. I used to love it when I was a wee guy! Kelvingrove's been getting all the attention so it's great to see Edinburgh getting back in on the action. Great for our combined Glasgow/Edinburgh offer that still seems to be taking its time developing!
