Next month's Leeds Digital Festival is to host a Question Time-style debate focusing on how technology-savvy companies can use new digital opportunities to boost business.

The Business of Digital debate will be chaired by TheBusinessDesk editor David Parkin and feature a high-profile panel including First Direct, industry expert Dr Norman Lewis and social networking entrepreneur Buddy Ye.

Organisers say the event will give senior business executives a unique opportunity to hear from a panel of experts on the future of digital technology and in particular how this will effect their business.

It takes place on 11 November at 5.30pm at The Mint, Holbeck Urban Village, Leeds. The audience will be made up of 250 business leaders from the region and you can register your interest at www.thebusinessof.co.uk.

The Business of Digital is just one of several events taking place during this year's Leeds Digital Festival between 8-12 November.

Developed by Leeds Media, in partnership with Marketing Leeds, Screen Yorkshire, Leeds College of Art, Leeds Chamber, Holbeck Urban Village and Carbon Imagineering, the festival will include seminars, socials and showcases, featuring speakers from some of the world’s leading brands.

The week of activities will conclude with the DADI Awards, in association with Leeds Live It Love It, which celebrates the best of the digital industry in the UK regions.
