Warner Estate has appointed Manchester agency Pixel8 to provide design and marketing services for its five shopping centres in north west England.

The brief includes managing print design, web development, promotions, event management, PR and advertising design.

It covers the Market Place Shopping Centre in Bolton, Fishergate Shopping Centre in Preston, Middleton Shopping Centre and The Grange and Pyramids centres in Birkenhead.

Pixel8's joint MD Jamie Watson, who formerly head marketing roles at Sainsbury's and Iceland, said: "This is a particularly exciting win as it allows me to get back to my roots in retail.

"There's lots of uncertainty given the increase in VAT from January and the change of government, but we relish the challenge and look forward to driving both footfall and spend in the centres."
