Cheshire agency The Foundry has created a digital sales and brand tool for the merchandising business of Manchester United.

The Altrincham agency was appointed by Manchester United Merchandising Limited, a subsidiary of Nike, in May following a three-way pitch.

The aim of the software development is to deliver key sales messages in "a more consistent and dynamic way".

It features a built-in content management system, can be updated by the internal commercial team and can be adapted to create bespoke presentations to potential partners.

Kevin Murphy, managing director of The Foundry, said: “This is a fantastic achievement for the team, especially as we were up against some very stiff digital competition. To be chosen to work alongside two global brands such as Manchester United and Nike is a real testament to the expertise within our company."
