The winners of the inaugural UK Event Awards have been announced.

Meanwhile, BBC Blast was handed the Chairman's Award and the 02 won Best Corporate Event for the Touch Rugby Six-A-Side Competition.

The awards were handed out last night at the Ramada Hotel in Manchester Piccadilly with the ceremony being attended by a mixture of event organisers, suppliers, promoters and venues to celebrate the industry's achievements over the last year.

Entertainment on the evening was provided by crooner Cole Page and comedia Phil Nicol.
