80 Hertz is opening a new two-storey recording studio in The Sharp Project in Manchester for bands, ad agencies and digital companies to master their recordings.
The new studio is due for completion in January 2011 and will be open for bands, ad agencies and digital companies to master their recordings.
It has been designed by music producer George Atkins and dubbing mixer John 'Fingers' Wood.
The sound-proofed 6,650 sq ft facility has a six-metre high live room which will be used for recording, mixing and mastering music and for music composition, TV post-production, film scores and ads.
There will also be studio space for hire enabling small digital companies to tap into the facilities.
Atkins said: "The design is forward thinking and has taken into full consideration the way media is now being created, distributed and consumed. It enables us to produce music to a world class standard 24/7.
"We also have scope to provide other forms of high quality content for the digital age i.e. streaming live video footage of events and gigs via Sharp's gigabit fibre Internet connection."
