The shortlist for this year’s awards has been made up of 15,000 entries and 25,000 votes to find the best tweets in the fields of Business to Consumer, Applications, Charity, Celebrity, Information Service and Pictures, to name a few.

The Celebrity category is this year made up of Davina McCall, Alan Carr, Stephen Fry, Charlie Brooker, Philip Schofield, Jason Manford and Eamonn Holmes while Gene Hunt, Richard Herring, Simon Evans, Orkney Library, Kai Wayne Rooney, Irkfirka, Pavel Konnolsky, TwitGP and Average Batman make up the Humour category.
