The University of Stirling is set to tender for the support management of its website content as it aims to reach key audiences and maximize revenue income.

A tender will be held to appoint a supplier for two lots, the first to purchase, implement and support the University’s web content management systems (CMS), and secondly to organise the provision of its web CMS, which will see the University integrate the solution with its existing Microsoft and Active Directory environment in order to grant editorial permissions.

The project will begin in the first quarter of next year. With the contract running until April 2014.

Lots one will see the creation of a CMS system which will be used by over 250 members of staff to upload content that will include the updating of a website that will include several thousand web pages.

The second contract will be to host the CMS site.

Both contracts are set to run for 60 months with deadline for expressions of interest set for 7 December, with tenders being sent out on 21 January.
