The Famous Grous has placed a giant wireframe sculpture of ‘The Grouse’, at Broxden roundabout in Perth.

Working with Pocket Rocket Creative to create the sculpture to promote the whisky brand, The Edrington Group, owners of The Famous Grouse, have gifted ‘The Grouse’ to mark Perths 800 year celebrations.

The sculpture was made by Ruaraig Maciver of Beltane Studios and was placed in situ on Sunday 21 November.

“We felt the wireframe design was the best approach because it looked elegant and nimble, but there was also the practicality of erecting a large sculpture (with raised wings) so high when winds can be extremely forceful in that area. The wireframe allows the air to circulate and causes less drag,” said designer, Gary Doherty.
