KPMG Europe has appointed Accenture's Terry Corby to the new role of chief marketing and communications officer.

Corby, who will take up the new post in January, moves from Accenture where he was director of marketing and communications in the UK and Ireland.

Jeremy Anderson, head of markets at the firm, said: "As a senior marketing professional, Terry’s experience and skills will be important in helping raise awareness of KPMG’s brand, insights and capability in a wide range of geographies and sectors  - and also among our key stakeholders, including our clients and people."

Corby added: "I am joining at a time when the firm wants to make a step-change in its approach to marketing and brand awareness and the appointment of a chief marketing officer supports that."
