Visit Hull and East Yorkshire launches Christmas campaign

Visit Hull and East Yorkshire is encouraging visitors to spend their Christmas holidays in the region with a new festive-themed campaign.

The tourist board has worked with "partners from across the area" to offer discount accommodation and has dispatched a Christmas visitor guide to thousands of potential visitors in the Midlands and northern England.

It created the brochure, which promotes various festive events and attractions, with the help of Hull-based creative agency Force-7.

The print work is backed by a Christmas section on the Visit Hull and East Yorkshire website.

Janet Reuben, chief executive of Visit Hull and East Yorkshire, said: “The potential benefits of attracting festive visitors to Hull and East Yorkshire are enormous. The value of Christmas holidays is vast and with more people choosing to holiday in the UK this is a fantastic opportunity for our tourism businesses."

Let's be honest. Nothing says Christmas like Hull. Also check out the bedroom on the bottom right hand side of the landing page. Mmmmm...Nice.

No lack of ambition there then. It's almost like asking people to forsake their turkey dinner with all the trimmings and replace it with a stale Ginsters pasty.
