Stu Perry, head of design at McCann Erickson Communications House, is set to leave the Birmingham agency to join Connect Communications in Wolverhampton.

Perry (pictured far left), who has been with McCann Erickson for over 11 years is currently serving his three-month notice period with the agency, and is expected to begin in his new role as head of design in February.

Rob Hampton, managing director of Connect, said: “We are delighted that someone of Stu’s calibre is joining Connect as head of design. 2010 has been an excellent year for the agency, and our goal now is to grow even further in 2011 by attracting the very best creative names and retaining our fantastic team.”

Perry recently returned from a fund raising trip alongside other members of staff at McCann Erickson Birmingham, including CEO Dean Lovett, where they travelled 2,400 miles across Europe in a week on Harley Davidsons, raising over £11,000 in the process.

Sad so many anonymous people with such negative comments for a guy so passionate about strong creativity. Good luck.

Thanks to those of you with a personality of your own, for you kind thoughts and wishes. I really appreciate it. Take life with a pinch of salt, a slice of fresh lemon and a shot of tequila. :)
