Aardman Animations revives Morph to take on Banksy for short film

One of the most popular animated characters of the 70’s and 80’s, Morph has been brought back to life by Aardman Animations for the Encounters Festival in Bristol, which features the Brown plasticine figure take on another of the city’s most famous sons – Banksy.

The short film created for the ‘Graffiti Animation’ section of the festival has been created to appear as though it is secret footage of the graffiti artist at work, and has been directed by Aardman’s Chopsy, who’s first job at the company was working on Cable Morph 12 years ago.

Morph v Banksy was animated in a few days, with model-making and prop building completed the previous week and finished off with a couple of days post in After Effects.
