Following news earlier today that the directors of Robson Brown had relaunched the agency, it has emerged that it is still in with a chance of retaining the creative account for bed retailer Dreams.
The agency has been pitching to retain the separate media and advertising accounts for Dreams when it was placed into administration last week, losing its credit insurance, and therefore its media buying rights.
The following day Dreams announced that the £35m media buying account would move to Starcom MediaVest, but claimed that the decision has nothing to do with the status of the agency at the time.
In speaking to Mike Butler, marketing director of Dreams, who was not aware of the relaunch of the agency, it was clarified that no decision towards the creative account appointment had yet been made, and that the agency was still involved in the process, although he was unsure as to its current credentials.
In total the brand spent nearly £30m on marketing last year.

Naughty naughty.
Is it only me that can smell that rat???
Groan... RB PR is in overdrive... any more propaganda on its way? Of course they will still have it that Flymo, Benfield, Chester Zoo, Manchester Arndale and others are all still clients. Eh... no! Real clients making their decisions will see through this I'm sure.
