Reading Room Manchester has been appointed as digital agency by the guardians of the Fairtrade brand.

Fairtrade Labelling Organizations International, which owns the Fairtrade mark, will work with the agency to launch a "new organisational brand" and to "provide a web platform for Fairtrade partners and initiatives worldwide".

Reading Room's appointment follows previous work with the organisation's branches around the world. In September it launched a new website (pictured) for Fairtrade Africa.

A spokesperson for the agency said: "We are delighted to once again have the opportunity to get involved with the Fairtrade team to deliver a brand-strengthening and user engaging website, and look forward to really developing the system over the coming months."
