Social media business Message Makers has been acquired by digital agency Brash.

The acquisition of Message Makers in the North West of England, see Brash grow its staff numbers to 15 and continue its aim of reaching an annual turnover of £1.5m, having formed in February 2010.

Message Makers, established in 2009 by founder Simon Powell.

Matt Newing, director at Brash, said: “The deal has allowed us to combine skills and market sector experience to grow and offer a fully integrated digital agency.

“Today, digital is at the heart of everything we do and it is important brands incorporate it into their marketing strategies. With our joint expertise we are going to be able to compete on a larger scale and have a significant impact on our client’s marketing activity.”

 Powell added: “The deal builds on Brash’s resources and allows the agency to offer clients a more comprehensive online marketing service. The acquisition focuses on growing the business and integrating our social media experience to offer an improved search marketing package.”
