Renowned illustrator Si Scott has produced an exclusive series of Manchester music posters to help raise funds for the Forever Manchester charity.
Scott's 11 posters are based on lyrics by the likes of Oasis, Joy Division and the Buzzcocks and will be on show at the Manchester Photographic Gallery until the end of January.
They are each being sold for £100 and have a limited run of just 50 copies. Money raised will be used to fund grants for community activities in poor areas of Greater Manchester.
Laura Harper, a partner at Manchester legal firm Ward Hadaway, helped get Scott on board to create the posters and clear the rights to use the song lyrics.
Scott said: “Manchester's music scene has long been a source of inspiration so when I was approached to do something for the Forever Manchester campaign, this seemed like an ideal opportunity to demonstrate that.
“I am grateful to Laura and her team for working hard to ensure all the rights were cleared to use the lyrics in the artwork and hope that the final pieces succeed in raising a lot of money for the cause.”

It was overated then!!..by the way what's this bloke reowned for?
You can't really knock his skills, the guy is talented and renowned globally. His work and clients pretty much speak for themselves.
13:14 no offence but could you explain the 'skills' related to the two images above
which I could've done.
Doesn't he hand draw all his stuff? If you can hand draw as well as Si Scott, then I reckon you should sack off whatever else it is you are doing and do this instead.
15:36 Cool I look forward to your next exhibition

To be fair Im not massively keen on these, but if you check out his portfolio.(www.siscottstudio.com) some really cool illustrations. Never heard of this chap before so thanks for the insight
Si Scott used to work for Germ (part of CBJWT). He's now in big demand on both sides of the Atlantic as an illustrator. He's produced work for some of the world's top brands and his influence can been seen in a lot of contemporary illustration styles. Those detractors here aren't fit to tie his shoe laces.
There's some bloody idiots on here. The guy is extremely talented and has produced so much quality work over the last few years.
12:52 are you his mother?

Si Scott is brilliant. I have his work on my wall at home. Love it.

Any designers out there will be familiar with Si's work, he was one of the biggest names in illustration over the last decade, developing a hand-crafted signature style which countless others imitated.
If there could be any slight criticism of Si's stuff it's that his style didn't change much over the years, while derivatives regurgitated it ad nauseam.
Definitely fair to say he's renowned.

He might be renowned, and there is some fantastic stuff on his site, but is it ok to say I don't really like these. They're just a bit... nothing-y.
I've looked at a couple of sites with his work on and yes I think he is very good at what 'he' does but the style is repetative and very 70's (Santana album cover).
The key to a really good illustrator is someone who can varey his work.
