House builder Persimmon is understood to have appointed McCann Erickson Birmingham to handle its advertising account.
McCanns won the contract following a final two-way-pitch against Fuse8, which currently holds Persimmon's digital contract.
Leeds-based Brass, the incumbent which previously held both accounts and was part of the initial pitch for this contract, is understood to have entered a consultation period in which staff who served on the Persimmon account will be transferred to McCann Erickson through TUPE regulations.
Also thought to have pitched for the account were EMO and TC Communications.
Asked about the account move, John Morgan, CEO of Brass, said: “The Persimmon Homes account will be leaving us in January and as a result we are now in a TUPE transfer situation and until that is resolved there is no more I can say.”
McCann Erickson Birmingham and Fuse8 will now work together on delivering marketing campaigns for the client.
At the time of writing The Drum was awaiting confirmation of the appointment from Persimmon Homes and McCann Erickson Birmingham.

Sad news for Brass and those at Brass affected by the loss. 12 years is a long time to hold onto such a challenging account, and deserves recognition.
Take some comfort from the fact that you just lost out, and to McCanns - its a testiment to the talent of the Persimmon Team and the calibre of the pitch.
I wish everyone there all best of luck for the future and I'm sure Brass will adapt well to the change.
