Rave Communications has appointed Mark Firth as non-executive director and consultant.

Firth, one of the co-founders of Leicester-based advertising agency Big Communications and a founding director of Fuse Digital, will work on Rave's consumer brand services.

The creative has developed and directed a number of campaigns for brands including WKD and Princes Foods.

Rave’s MD, John Wilford said: “After 10 years, Rave is being re-invented to focus on major consumer campaigns and growing our education marketing offering. Mark will be an important guide and mentor.

"We have a number of major strategic initiatives that we will be undertaking in the next few years and Mark’s knowledge and track record will help us on our journey.”

Firth added: “The talent that exists at Rave simply needs focusing on bigger brands. I know I can make a positive contribution and look forward to working with John and his team.”

Rave, which recently picked up two Cream Awards for its work for Victory Motorcycles, has also created campaigns for the likes of Corgi, Carlsberg, IRWIN Tools, Graco and Zanussi, as well as recently securing the PR account for Showcase Cinemas and sister brand Showcase Cinema de Lux.
