A new social media experiment to see which parts of the body Brits hurt most has got underway today.

The Ouch Map will record minor injures such as paper cuts and stubbed toes on a glowing skeleton.

Anyone who has hurt themselves is encouraged to tweet the name of the sore body part alongside a pain rating from 1-10 and the hashtag #ouch365. Their injury will then appear on the skeleton.

The map is being run by health insurance company Health365. Its sales and marketing director, Paul Shires, said: "Our Ouch Map is a fun, interactive experiment to see which parts of the body give us the most ‘ouch’ moments.

“It is an interesting, real-time test which will visualise an as-it-happens map of minor injuries and we hope it will show that health issues and health insurance needn’t be dull or boring.”

The Ouch Map idea was conceived for Health365 by Leeds PR agency Umpf, which called on UK Snow Map creator Ben Marsh to develop the application.
