Aardman Animations brought in for first ever Swedbank TV campaign

The television campaign for Swedbank has been produced alongside Aardman Animations, tracing the history of the Swedish bank since 1820.

The Bristol-based animation firm has created two characters for the campaign, a squirrel who plans an acorn and then watches it grow, and a noisy duck who spends his money as soon as he gets it.

Each set and character was redressed four times for the advert in order to tell their story, and was directed by Steve Harding-Hill with Lowe Brindfors and Colony, Sweden.

Steve Harding-Hill, commented: “I loved working on the production because I'd never done a job to such a massive scale where I'd been given so much creative input. To turn such a large job round in such little amount of time was both scary and thrilling!”
