McDonald’s has shunned voiceovers in its newest ad, opting instead to go with an instrumental-only soundtrack to capture a whole range of different people brought together by the brand.
Created by Leo Burnett, the ‘Symphony’ ad uses various pieces of music to reflect varying personalities and situations while illustrating ‘McDonald’s moments’, such as an excited driver pulling up to the Drive-Thru or French fries being stolen after distracting a friend’s attention.
McDonald's UK and Northern Europe vice president of marketing Alistair Macrow said of the new ads: "This latest campaign is part of our long-term brand statement, 'There's a McDonald’s for everyone'.
"It's a chance to celebrate all of the reasons why customers enjoy visiting McDonald's and the unique rituals that form part of everyone’s McDonald's moment."

This ad has a voiceover on it.
I wonder what the sound is for your arteries hardening?
A bit of racial stereotyping too.
Not technically a symphony either.
The most fun I've had in ages, no really! I don't get out much as I'm house bound after having reached grotesque proportions due to my old burger days, but this made me almost get up and go get some, but I get it delivered now...yipee! More of the social interaction please especially the will they won't they couple sharing a barbeque sauce tub. I felt a tingling in my genitals but couldn't find them, I'll just have to pause and rewind a few times until I do. MUM....KLEENEX PLEASE!

McDonald's keep doing these kind of style led, less brash ads to try and convince us that actually they're really nice places to be and the food is good. It's not fooling anyone. Why don't they just tell the truth, but do it in an interesting way. Or just shout, like Subway do?
Liked the "weather" advert, and quite like the thinking behind this.
Should be a John Lewis ad, or something though.
