TDA beats stiff competition to become Chip Shop Awards Ad of the Week

TDA beats stiff competition to become Chip Shop Awards Ad of the WeekTDA beats stiff competition to become Chip Shop Awards Ad of the Week

The Chip Shop 'Ad of the Week', voted for online at chipshopawards.com, is another new entry for the 2011awards.

This concept has been entered in three categories: Best Press Ad; Best Consumer Ad; and in true Chip Shop style, the Invent Your Own Category under the catchy title of 'Best Press Ad About a Man's Winky'.
All the votes from each category were totted up and TDA came out as this week's winner, as chosen by visitors to the Chip Shop Awards website.. It is now in the running for 'best ad ever' (the idea that gets the most votes over the run-up to the Chip Shop Awards deadline on 18 March) and of course, for a Chip at the Awards itself in June. Until the close of entries on 18 March, the Chip Shop Awards is letting the industry have its say online. Every week before the deadline, anybody can vote for any concept from either this year's entries or any of theprevious years.  As you can see, the winner gets some great publicity for the winner. And whether you win a Chip or not, we'll post your entry on the site and tweet it to our 1,300+ followers as soon as it arrives. The brief is simple: come up with a brilliant idea for any client, real or imagined, using any medium. And to find out more about the clever people at TDA, go to their website

This sucks. It's like a Benny Hill Gag that has been dug up and wired to a JCB's batteries. It's still dead.

I thought the awards were meant to be pushing the boundaries of creative and taste? This is really retro in a bad way.
