The National Trust has announced that it will be releasing a new website during summer that will provide a more interactive experience for users and enable individual properties to manage their own web pages.

The new site, which is currently in beta testing, will feature a new homepage and more user generated content to help the site meet the needs of modern website users.

“The Trust’s digital channels are way ahead of other charities in the UK,” explained a Trust representative.

“Our apps for example, are a huge success; however we need to make improvements to the site to make it more interactive.”

As part of the development, the Trust will be holding beta-testing in Bristol on the 10 March, to help it decide how the website will look and work and is offering volunteers £40 to attend the session.

The new site is expected to be online in June.
