Royal Mint unveils Commemorative Wills and Kate coinRoyal Mint unveils Commemorative Wills and Kate coin

Numismatists will have a new coin to add to their collections from today after the Royal Mint unveiled their latest design, a silver £5 piece depicting a slightly odd looking love struck Wills and Kate.

Retailing for £9.99 the piece has received the seal of approval from the happy couple themselves as well as the Queen, whose familiar features stare out the coins reverse side.

Currently available for pre-order on the Mint’s website the coin will become official UK tender on March 16 whereupon the organisation confidently predicts “massive demand”.

I love Royal Wedding Fever where a £5 coin retails fo £9.99.

Does the coin have her family motto on the obverse "Cash In". Actually that could apply to both families.

But who are the couple depicted on the K&W coin? Looks a bit like younger versions of Kate Adie and William Shatner. Any other suggestions?
